Lyndon B. Johnson was a larger than life character, known for using all kinds of creative means to intimidate colleagues in order to get his way. It was this force of character that made him so productive as a legislator, and later as President. He liked things the way he liked things, his way.
That nature extended to his property in Texas as well. Dubbed the "Texas White House," LBJ's Texas ranch house was where he felt most at home, and nobody could change that fact. During one media visit to the ranch, LBJ was witnessed picking up one of his beagles by the ears, for which he was doggedly criticized. In reaction, he decorated a pillow with the words, "This is my ranch, and I do as I damn please!"
Now you can pay homage to this giant of American legislative history by bringing home your own replica version of this infamous pillow.
