Capulin Volcano formed between 56 and 62 thousand years ago, and today its cinder cone rises more than a thousand feet above a high desert plain. Consisting of loose cinders, ash, and other rock debris ejected during a series of eruptions, this formation is unique in that lava never flowed from the main crater, allowing the cinder cone to maintain its pronounced symmetry.

Celebrate the unique geology preserved at this New Mexico park with our Capulin Volcano National Monument ball cap, featuring a strap-back design, the name of the park, and a symmetrical cinder cone formation embroidered on the front to reflect one of the most unique elements of the park.

  • Official park ball cap approved by the National Park Service for Capulin Volcano National Monument
  • 100% cotton
  • One size fits most
  • Metal buckle and strap adjustment
