Handmade by Navajo silversmith Gilbert Begay, this sterling silver Navajo storyteller cuff bracelet tells a living story. Using an overlay technique, the artist carefully etches and layers traditional scenes from Navajo life and culture across the surface of the cuff—images of home, land, and harmony rendered in silver with quiet precision. For more than 30 years, Begay has perfected his stamp work and metal overlay, crafting each bracelet entirely by hand. Though the detailing might resemble machine engraving, it’s the result of deeply practiced skill and intention. This cuff is not only a wearable piece of art but also a visual narrative of Navajo identity and experience, stamped with “Gilbert Begay Sterling.” Every line tells a story. Every mark is placed with care. This bracelet is not only made by Gilbert Begay—it is marked by his life, his land, and his legacy.
Care instructions: Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in an airtight container or anti-tarnish pouches, and avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, water, and prolonged sunlight. Regularly clean with a soft cloth and mild silver polish or a baking soda/water mixture, and wear it often to maintain its luster.
