The “Queen of the Missions” was founded in 1720 and is the largest of the five missions in San Antonio. Formerly a major social center, today it houses the park’s Visitor’s Center and a Catholic parish. The mysterious Rose Window can be found in the church’s sacristy, considered the best example of baroque architecture in the United States.
