A benchmark is a permanent mark established at a known elevation and used as the basis for measuring the elevation of other topographical points within a given area. They also happen to look cool, which is why we produced a cast metal magnet replicating the benchmark for Guadalupe Peak at Guadalupe Mountains National Park.
