A benchmark is a permanent mark established at a known elevation and used as the basis for measuring the elevation of other topographical points within a given area. They also happen to look cool, which is why we produced this metal hiking stick medallion replicating the benchmark for Wheeler Peak at Great Basin National Park. Wheeler Peak is the highest point in the state of New Mexico at 7,563 feet, and features the Lehman caves at the base of the mountain.

  • Official park magnet approved by the National Park Service for Great Basin National Park
  • Includes brads and adhesive backing for secure attachment to your hiking stick
  • Size: 1 3/4" round
