On May 10, 1869, the Union Pacific Railroad and the Central Pacific Railroad met at Promontory Summit in Utah Territory, which is now preserved as Golden Spike National Historical Park. This wedding of the rails formed the first transcontinental railroad in the United States. The golden spike, now a symbol of this historic moment, was one of four precious-metal spikes used in the ceremony. Celebrate the space and date of this momentous event with this collectible lapel pin, a miniature replica of the final spike! A rubber stud clutch attachment securely affixes the pin to any fabric surface.

  • Official park pin approved be the National Park Service for Golden Spike National Historical Park
