Remember your national park adventures every holiday season with our stamped metal ornaments! This ornament has a color enameled front display on an intricately stamped metal backing. This one features the Central Pacific's Jupiter locomotive that participated in the Golden Spike ceremony on May 10, 1869. The Jupiter was a steam engine that burned wood to fire the engine, because it was based in San Francisco where wood is plentiful and coal is much harder to find.
