This handwoven rug by Navajo weaver Sylvia Dodge of Nazlini, Arizona, represents the Klagetoh style. Woven with a blend of natural and commercial wool, the rug reflects a tradition rooted in the early 20th century, when traders like J.L. Hubbell encouraged regional variations in weaving.

The Klagetoh style is recognized by its grey homespun background, highlighted by bold geometric motifs in red, white, and black. Sylvia’s weaving continues this heritage, while adding her own hand and eye for balance.
