On May 10, 1869, the Union Pacific Railroad and the Central Pacific Railroad met at Promontory Summit in Utah Territory, which is now preserved as Golden Spike National Historical Park. This wedding of the rails formed the first transcontinental railroad in the United States. The golden spike, now a symbol of this historic moment, was one of four precious-metal spikes - each with its own story - used in the ceremony. Celebrate this momentous event with a set of miniature replicas of these four spikes - the Last Spike, the San Francisco Newsletter Spike, the Nevada Spike, and the Arizona Spike!

  • Displayed in a collector's case with interpretive information on the back
  • Each spike is 2 7/8" long
