Walnut Canyon National Monument Cap

Carved over the course of sixty million years, Walnut Canyon is a place of great natural beauty Between the years 1100 and 1250 CE, it was also home to ancestral Puebloan people, who built their homes in the alcoves along the edges of the canyon, taking advantage of the natural protection and abundance offered by the geography of the area.
