San Francisco Maritime National Hist. Park Patch - Spinning Wheel

This emboidered patch representing San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park features an independently spinning ship's wheel in honor of our kingspoke logo. The kingspoke is the handle on a ship's wheel with extra grooves. The grooves are there so that the helmsman can feel them while steering the ship in the dark. It's also used to determine the exact position of the rudder - when the king spoke points straight upward the rudder is believed to be dead straight to the hull.
