San Antonio Missions National Hist. Park Magnet - San Juan
Remember your visit to San Antonio Missions National Historical Park by picking up one of our custom designed pictorial magnets. Each image is chosen to represent a unique aspect of this park that makes it special for visitors. This one features an image of Mission San Juan seen only at San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Originally founded in 1716 in eastern Texas, Mission San Juan was transferred in 1731 to its present location. In 1756, the stone church, a friary, and a granary were completed. A larger church was begun, but was abandoned when half complete as a result of population decline. But Mission San Juan was a hub for the region, and established a trade network stretching east to Louisiana and south to Coahuila, Mexico. This thriving economy helped the mission to survive many challenges up until its final years.
Your memories, right there on your refrigerator door!
