We've teamed with legendary ceramics company Deneen Pottery to create a series of commemorative mugs. Each mug has a custom ceramic badge and is painted and glazed by hand. This mug features the Great Seal of the Navajo Nation.

Designed by John Claw, Jr. from Many Farms, Arizona, the Great Seal of the Navajo Nation was officially adopted by the Navajo Tribal Council on January 18, 1952. The Great Seal's outer ring consists of 50 arrowheads symbolizing the Navajo Nation's protection within the United States. The three concentric lines represent the sovereignty of the Navajo Nation, while the opening at the top indicates that Navajo sovereignty will never close. The yellow sun shines from the east, where the Navajo believe everything begins, onto four sacred mountains shown in four ceremonial colors: Blanca Peak in white to the east, Mount Taylor in blue to the south, San Francisco Peak in yellow to the west, and Hesperus Mountain in black to the north. The two cornstalks with pollen symbolize the sustaining of Navajo life, while the horse, cow, and sheep depict Navajo livestock and the source of Navajo wealth.
