Fort Bowie National Hist. Site Travel Stamp

This travel stamp features Fort Bowie National Historic Site, which played a pivotal role in the 19th-century conflict between US soldiers and Apache warriors Geronimo and Chief Cochise. The 1.5-mile trail to the visitor center passes remains of the Butterfield Overland Stage Station, the post cemetery, the 1862 Apache Pass battle site, Apache Spring, and fort ruins.
