El Malpais La Ventana Arch Travel Stamp

One of the state’s largest sandstone spans, La Ventana Natural Arch, occupies a small canyon in a surreal volcanic realm at El Malpais National Monument. Visitors can view the picturesque feature from a parking area or walk a short trail to its base. This rugged landscape where lava once flowed is also home to the Chain of Craters Backcountry Byway and the Hole-in-the-Wall geological island.
